nickname(s): Linds
age: 16 years old
gender: female
role: riding student, boarder
riding level: intermediate
sexuality: straight
play-by: Lauren Conrad
apperance:
[face]
Lindsey has that angel face, it has the perfectly red and rosey cheeks. nothing for her is wrong. gray eyes can stare you down in a dead second. her smile is breath taking, a spacer is still in her mouth and her braces were taken off when she was fifteen. and her teeth had always been a pure white which is beautiful when she smiles. her ears aren't pierced so she doesn't wear much jewelry unless it is a bracelet or two, and maybe a necklace.
[hair]
every two months she usually gets an inch or two off her hair. however it has that natural blend of blonde and some brunette highlights. with her entire family being brunette it was pretty awkward. styling of her hair is either a bun or put into a riding hair net. mostly when she is on a trail it'll be down with a hat over it. or if she's in the ring and not wearing a helmet or wearing her hat she'll wear it down or up in a ponytail. and when she works it'll be in a bun that would be a quick fix.
[figure]
brought up on a ranch lean muscles line her arms and her legs as well. abs are in perfect form but aren't bulging out like a weight lifter. when she was in the city with her mother she went to the gym and lifted several weights and did things such as yoga. her legs are slim and trimmed just like the average equestrian, the perfect image. however she carries a small amount of poundage in her rear end but it isn't ginormous.
[clothing]
plaid, her favorite type of shirts. jeans are her usual attire on her legs with the sometiemes chose in her english lessons of tall boots and when riding western paddock boots with brown half chaps. sleeves are usually rolled up no matter what style she's riding but she keeps things simple when in a western saddle. then steps it up in class when riding english. her tall boots with off-white breeches, and then a shirt tucked into her riding pants. the shirt will usually clutch her figure but she'll look nice and calm.
personality:
strenghts in kate is that she is a rider who has been riding her entire life and is still learning every day. she doesn't just learn from her instructors but from the horse itself. flaws for her is that she sometimes forgets her jumping courses or how she is suppose to propose things and well that is a major one in competition. yet she also sometimes has a flaw with human encounters, people say she has been around horses far to long. likes for the young Antoinette girl is that she is madly in love with horses as well as all other animals. she also loves to make new friends yet has a bit of a disconection with people. also she recently fell in love with cross-country running and listening to her iPod while she ran. her fears include the silly things like spiders, and the average creepy things like that.
her personality really is almost all the time positive. things barely tick her off so that could be another postive tick on her personality chart. people catch her on her good side probably all the time so unless you do something she'll invite you in as a friend. talking also is another great thing for her because she just loves to. however she won't ramble and speak really fast, or not let the other person talk. she gives them time and usually smiles at them.
when you do manage to cross that line and make her mad she'll explode but her voice won't be too loud. but you can tell she's angry. redness will blush like a light bulb onto her cheeks. her eyes will get somewhat wide. and that smile that was once there just won't come to her face. no matter how hard you try. yet sometimes if you joking around with her she can tell but sometimes she just won't.
history:
the family
her father is a well known horse trainer in the western area of teh united states. her mother a city women at heart who works for a large business firm, and as a part time lawyer. samantha antoinette, and twins name eric and nate were also her brothers. yet the twins had their father's last name of booker.
her life
Born in the large city of New York it was her mother who was the first to really see her. And the one to name her. Lindsey's father didn't have a say because he was out in Nevada in a horse training clinic and her mother wasn't due for another two weeks. It was a proper name given to a young girl but nicknames would be given to her over her life that she'd come to enjoy more than her real name.
After a week in the hospital her mother took her home to rest at the Booker ranch in Ohio. Middle of no where. Pastures of a beautiful green and sometimes golden grass that stretched farther than the eye could see. Horses or bays and grays, blacks and bays, roans, etc. roamed those fields. Some being untouched by the family and some being their companions under saddle.
It was when the little girl travelled from the big city to the large ranch when her mind was confused. Freckles rose to her cheeks and redness blushed onto them when she felt the whiskers. Yet her mother finally took a break and settled back at the ranch. Her father immediately grabbed one of the smallest horses and put her on his back. A one year old was sitting in the large western saddle of a three year old green colt.
Years later nothing gained interest she was named Rodeo Princess of the year in her state. Winning barrel races, and western pleasure classes on her dapple grey gelding. At ten years old it was her older sister, Samantha Antoinette, got her into some english riding. So she left the Booker ranch and went to New York and was taught how to ride in the english saddle. After six months she entered her first competition in an equitation class and took the reserve championship.
Turning twelve she owned two major competitive horses. Rooster was a red roan gelding that her father bought her from a business man in Florida. He was a great western pleasure mount as well as a trail horse. Camille was a light bay filly that her sister had given to her for her english competitions. Leaving the New York state lines she went to Florida for some upper level stuff. Entering Rooster in a advanced pleasure class he was faced with older and more experienced horses.
As for Camille it was older competitiors and their younger mounts. For the next two weeks they experienced five reserve western pleasure championships, three championships in trail, and two championships in hunter, along with seven first place ribbons all together. It took Kate until fifteen to decide if she wanted to continue all that tough competition or just settle down and learn something for once like she had done.
So she was sent on an airplane to the Booker ranch out in Ohio. With nothing to interesting in her life she took the chance to buy her own horse with money she'd been saving up. It was a perfect horse at a slaughter auction that made her very happy. A beautiful shade of grays mixed together, making small patches just to come together and blend into a dappled coat. She was all hers.
Shipping the mare from the auction house to the ranch was difficult and well it wasn't easy either. The trailer rocked back and forth for the six hour drive to the ranch. There became Kate's difficult decision of whether to tame the mare so she was able to ride her. Of course her decision was to ride her. After a month of trying different techniques she placed the heavy western saddle on the mare's back. Then transferred to a english saddle as well.
Now with Lindsey being sixteen and the mare turning five the two are an amazing pair. Taking home two championships in the same day for western pleasure, and one for green under saddle hunters. However those were their first shows in the entire year and their possible only ones. But she saw an ad for an equestrian center and loaded the quarter horse into the trailer and drove off to their new home. Maybe there would be exciting adventures.
role-play sample:
Pursing her lips together and a slight slap against her thigh the pale chestnut arabian galloped towards her. Arms by her sides she held the lead line in one hand as the colt slid to a halt. His back legs were nicely collected underneath him as he did a slidding halt.
"Hey pretty boy."
With a smile that seemed a bit cocky she set her fingernails to his forehead and gave him a scratch on the white star. Clipping on the lead line she opened the paddock gate and began the quarter mile walk up the driveway to the stable.
Karim was the stable's top colt and possibly going to be the best of them all. In the last fifty years through careful breeding the barn had produced one good horse, and that was the colt's dam. Being a legacy in the show ring it seemed appropriate with her to be bred to the stable's top stallion Autumn Row's Legacy. However when the chestnut colt was born he was already having a problem. He was blind.
In the last year it was twelve year old Natasha who had worked with him. Bottle fed him in the summer and every weekend. No matter what she was there for him. All though she was to young to work at the barn she paid for lessons and stayed there for the love of the horses.
[that is just a quick type up i can do much better]
