basic:
full name: Bristol Hayden Sinclaire
nickname(s): Meh. Whatever you wanna call her.
age: Sixteen
gender: Female
role: Riding Student
riding level: Intermediate
sexuality: Straight
play-by: Alyson Michalka
apperance:
Bristol has a heart shaped face, and her eyes are a striking blue-ish green color. Her nose is a little long, her lips full. Her hair is naturally blond, and extremely curly, although she straightens it as often as she leaves it curly. She's also been known to put some black in it, but it depends. Currently, it's just blond.
Her build is tall and slim. She stands about 5'9" tall. She's not anorexic or anything, she's definitely a slim girl. No one would call her fat.
Style-wise, she sort of does her own thing. Jeans are an always, but her shirts tend to change trends frequently. She would be a hard person to label.
personality:
Bristol is a confident person. She knows what she wants and she knows what she's going to do to get there. She's very strong willed and determined, and some would call her stubborn. There's no point in arguing with her, because she won't give up. She's just too stubborn. She tends to be deathly organized, and basically everything she owns is neat and tidy. She's not terribly loud, but she'll talk if you get her going, and she's far from shy. She's very independent. Once she gets going she doesn't generally like help, and she's never worked well in groups. If you give her a project, just stay out of her way. She finishes everything she starts and has been called an over-achiever by some. She just laughs and says that she's no slacker.
history:
Bristol grew up in Bozeman, Montana. Her dad worked for a near by cattle ranch, so she and her two siblings, Bryleigh and Ryan, were riding when they were young. Bristol was close with both of her siblings, both her older sister Brylight and her younger brother, Ryan. Bryleigh just turned eighteen, and Ryan will turn fifteen soon.
She got her first horse when she was twelve, because Paul Williams decided his younger daughter needed a mount of her own. Ryan had his long ago, as had Bryleigh, although she wasn't quite as much of a rider as her siblings. Bristol, however, had been content to just bounce around from horse to horse, with no special mount of her own. She said she liked the challenge of new horses, and if she got used to one horse, she might not be able to ride other horses so well.
But her father insisted, and so Bristol went out and bought Pandora's Box, a flashy palomino Quarter Horse mare. It wasn't long after that that Bristol decided she wanted to show. She got into western pleasure and reining and barrels and poles with no problem at all. She was a natural rider, and Pandora was a great horse, one of those mounts who would do anything you asked of her. If Bristol wanted her to run barrels, she ran barrels, with nice form to boot, and if Bristol wanted her to do a sliding stop, by golly she did a sliding stop.
It was the same year that Bristol bought Pandora that Adrenaline Rush was born to the cattle ranchers that Paul worked for. Bristol fell in love with the gangly foal, and, because she asked for little else, Paul bought him for his daughter. She worked the colt from the ground up. He was gelded just before he turned a year, and Bristol hasn't done too bad a job training him. He's still a little high strung, but he performs pretty well.
The year before Bristol turned fifteen, she saw some jumping at a show. Of course, she decided she wanted to do it, too. She'd been working for the cattle company for a couple of years by then, and so she had enough money saved up, so she bought herself the English saddle and bridle and went to work. Pandora didn't take kindly to jumping, and neither id Rush, who spooked vehemently at any obstacle that looked like he might have to go over instead of around, and, because Bristol wasn't actually a jumper, she didn't want to try and train the gelding to it, lest she screw something up. So she saved up some more and bought Indigo, a Friesian cross mare who had been trained to three day event. Of course, Bristol only intended to use her for some jumping, since that's all she really knew how to figure out. Of course, though, it wasn't long before she was experimenting with the mare's dressage training, and not long after that that she really started to figure it out.
When Bristol suggested the idea of going off to boarding school, her parents didn't have many complaints, especially since nobody in the area really knew about English. So Autumn Hills was the place. And now here she is.
role-play sample:
The girl slipped down out of the pickup and glanced around. A broad smile touched her lips. This was such an exciting prospect! Altogether new and totally unknown, but bound to be a ton of fun, right? SHe heaved a small sigh, tossing her curly brown hair over hers houlder to keep it out of her eyes
She stepped into the barn and glanced around until her eyes landed on a stall sheet. She walked over to it with a long, bouncing stride and examined it closely with large hazel eyes. SHe smiled as her eyes lit on her horse's stalls, the names reading their official names, "Kadience" and "Black-Fire Jupiter" She had to smile slightly. Black-Fire Jupiter would always be Jupe, or Jupiter. She'd never really thought of him as his registered name. He was Jupiter. Just Jupiter.
SHe turned on her heel and walked back out to the trailer. SHe quickly pulled the back open and stepped inside. The black horse snorted, tossing his head. Delany rolled her eyes slightly. "Jupe, you're such a prick sometimes, you know that?" she said with a shake of her head, reaching in and untieing the gelding. He backed down as quick as he good and stumbled off the back. "Dufus. Pay attention" Delany scolded without really scolding. It was apparent, even though the girl stood only 5 feet tall, that he was massive horse. And he was. He stood nearly 18 hands, and he towered over the girl. He was one of those horses that lots of people, especially short people like Delany, were a little intimidated by. Delany had been around horses in general, andt his horse in particular, way too much to be intimidated by him, though. Especially since he was just a big oaf. He didn't really mean harm to amyone.
She let the prancing, jittering, high headed black horse into the barn without an ounce of fear. SHe marched ahead of him with the sort of presence that said "if you step on me, it will be hell to pay" and clearly the gelding believed it, for he kept a fairly safe distance away, his nose not quite touching her shoulder, and, being so large, his feet didn't come close to hers.
"That's a boy" Del praised, patting him as she sent him into his stall. He turned and she took the halter off, hanging it ouside and closing the door, throwing home the bolt. The gelding snuffled around, exploring his new domain.
With a smile, the girl took off down the barn again to get the other mount, her dear Kadience. The chestnut mare wasn't quite as big as the gelding, but she was still massive, standing at 17 hands. Delany had to laugh a little bit. SHe liked 'em big. This horse she tied in the cross ties. Jupiter could just explore a bit. She left the mare there, but returned a few moments later with a saddle and bridle over one arm and brushes in the other. She quickly brushed the mare down, going over every inch thoroughly, then spent a little time saddling and checking her equipment. Everything seemed to have held over the journey over-seas, but one could never be too safe.
