its finally summer break, yayness, and right in time too. my mare is about to have her first foal any day now, so I'm spending a lot of time checking up on her and visiting with family. since this is her first foal, and mine, my mare, and eventually her foal, will be my first concern for a while. so, I'm not gonna be online for a couple days. I may come on and check things, but like I said, I'm going to be real busy checking up on my mare and looking for signs of foaling, and soon, working on imprinting on the foal. so, be active guys, and sorry, but I'll try to be on as much as I can and let you all know when something happens.

Good luck with your mare! I know this must an exciting and anxious time for you, but I'm sure everything will be just fine. Just imagine all the fun it will be to have a little one running around.

update: so, my mare had her foal. its a boy, yay, and he is a little chestnut paint. he is now about a week old; I was lucky enough to witness the whole birth, which was defiantly a new and exciting experience for me. the little guy is really friendly, almost too friendly - he likes to suck on my fingers, chew on my arm ( good thing he doesn't have teeth yet ) and he'll walk right up to me. so, I'm am finished babysitting the new baby, for right now at least, and I should be on more often.
