Edward has surprisingly bright eyes that stand out in contrast to his darker hair. From afar, these substances may seem like a simple blue, but get closer and you will notice there is more to his eyes than a simple color. Along the ridges, the border line with white, is a lighter color which swirls into darker shades untill the vast pupil is reached. A darker shade outlines the blue, seperating color from white. Colors such as cyan, cerulean, and indago are included in his radient eyes. But Edward's blue eyes are more than objects rich in color, but are also pools swimming with emotions. Though he is one of the lucky few who are able to shield their inner feelings, everyone slips from time to time, and the first place you see these break throughs are his eyes. Most often you can count on a joyful sparkle which lights up his face, but there are times when disapointment, saddness, or exhaustion erase the glimmer. When in rage or frustration, the gentle pools harden into ice and fire, a firce symbol of his anger.

His face has very good structure, giving him his good-looking appearance. As he is a young man, Edward's face has lost all of its childhood roundness and in its place is a sharp jaw line and high cheek bones. His nose is straight and narrow, well placed on his face. His chin can be considered rather sharp as well, but a happy glow on his face softens the look. Lucky for him, he hardly ever has to worry about bothersome zits and blemishs (the power of face wash). Of course, like any human being, he forgets to use his face scrub and a few red bumbs will show up, but he usually has them under control. Edward's face is very clear, and pale. His skin has the appearance of smooth marble, and the lack of his color makes him more attractive otherthan making him look sickly. One other feature that makes his face gorgous is his smile, reveling white teeth that obviously had been strightened by braces, which can have a melting effect. Though he has a beautiful smile, it is capable of turning into a mean sneer or smirk.

Edward has black hair that is shiny like a raven's feather. This trait was inheirited from his mother, who also had very dark hair, because his father is German and has very fair colored hair. The black locks are naturally stright, which pleases Edward since he doesn't have to worry about containing frizziness that usually comes with wavy or curly hair. He keeps his hair on the long side, with an almost shaggy look. He usually keeps it around or below his jawline, but never past the shoulders. Most often, you can count on his hair mussed as Edward doesn't like brushing his hair and usually runs his pale hand through it during the day, which would mess it up with or without a proper combing.

Edward stands at an height he is happy with, 5 feet 9 inches. He considers himself at an average height, though some say he is a little on the tall side. Edward has never once been called fat and has an almost a feminine sized waist. He is naturally small boned, with a lean torso; he has what almost looks like a swimmer's body. With a somewhat high matabilism, rarely does he have to watch what he eats; he doesn't devour a whole lot of junk food but does eat more than your average person at times. Most people would think that Edward is scrawny, but he isn't; he does actually have a masculine appearance. A healthy layar of muscle encircles his arms and legs, and his abs aren't that shabby either. Of course Edward recived his toned limbs naturally but working in the barn instead of in the gym. His most embarssing feature (to him anyways) is the long scar that wraps around his left shoulder from an injury he recived that required surgery. It still bothers him at times, but he won't say anything.

Most people mistake Edward for being shy at first meeting. It would appear so; he doesn't talk much, letting gestures show what he means, and he doesn't go on very many social gatherings. But those who believe him to be shy do not know him at all. He is more reserved than most, and doesn't feel the need to fill every silence with speech. He also doesn't see the need to share what he is thinking or feeling; why tell people? They have no reason to know whats going on inside. There are very few people he'll explain what he is feeling, though he would rather deal with his problems on his on then rely on other people to help him. Most times he would rather be alone, just him and the horses.
Underneath that reserved facade is a sweet, and kind human. Edward is good to the core. It seems as though all the love his mother gave him seemed to touch him. Though he is reserved, he doesn't do it to be mean, its just the way he is. Edward doesn't strive to hurt other people, as his quietness may be interuptted as scorn or mean smuggness, but that isn't what he is aiming for. Believe it or not, he does care what about other people's emotions (well, most peoples) even though he doesn't like sharing his own. He may not actually show this; he shows with the few people who are close to him and he does give good advice, in his usual quiet, yet smooth, voice of his.
Believe or not, but this quiet young man is musical. Like every kid, his mother made him take piano lessons, but instead of complaining he was enthustiastic. How great was this! He practiced endlessly and even tried teaching himself songs he liked. Later on he even presuaded his mother to allow him to take guitar lessons, which is his favorite instrument. Now he writes songs, and he usually brings his guitar with him when he leaves his house for any amount of time. Edward does get modest, and shy, about his music and will rarely play for anyone. Besides horses, music is his passion.

Edward Stark was born in Hamburg, located in Northern Germany. He was the first and only child of Nicole Kennedy and Peter Stark, who were about as different as possible. Peter is a native to Germany; both his parents, Edmund and Annemarie, are pure Germans and also lived in Hamburg their whole life. He is a very tall man, with an atheltic build as Germans often engage in physical activity, such as walking and bike-riding for transportation as supposed to driving a car. Though Nicole is also very healthy with a petite build, she was short and very dark haired. Nicole Kennedy was born in Flordia and had ancestors from many countries; France, England, Italian, Spanish. She was very mixed, an American, while Edmund was pure German.
Nicole had taken German courses all through High School and continued into collage. Near the end of her collage years she decided to apply for a transfer to Germany to study; take a year or two of courses over there and pratice her German. So she headed off to an University in Hamburg at the age of 20, and thats when she met Peter, who was then 22. The next events are predictable; girl meets boy, boy asks girl out, boy and girl fall in love. After a steady relationship that took place over two years, Nicole finished her studies at the University. It was time for her to return home, which she did... for a while.
Its obvious isn't it; Nicole returns home and reunites with her family, attends her brother's wedding (someone was busy while she was gone) then sulked. She kept in contact with Peter, but still she sulked. Finally, after a year of dwelling in sunny Flordia, she packed and went back to Hamburg, surprising Peter with the announcement that she wished to live there. Peter was shocked, yet still very much pleased, and they married within the next year. Will and Holly, along with Nicole's mother (her father died from cancer five years previous) flew out. Not six months later, Nicole got pregnant.
Annemarie Stark was very helpful with the uprising of young Edward; how could a grandmother resist taking care of her first, and only, grandchild. Nicole's German improved dramatically after moving (who wouldn't if they lived in Germany). Edward was taught both English and German growing up (although Peter and Annemarie could speak English, Edmund never learned). Also, both Peter and Nicole rode as children, so it was sure fire that they would pass on a love of equines to their young child, which sure happened. A love for music also surfaced from some unknown source; sure both parent's liked listening to music, but were never interested in actually creating it.
So, growing up, Edward got involved with those two things. His mother payed for pinao lessons, then later got talked into guitar lessons while Edward went to his father for riding lessons at a stable near-by. Being his usual reserved self, the boy had few friends at school and not having an interest in the popular sports effected his social status as well. Who didn't like Fussball, or soccer? Nope, Edward stayed in his room with a guitar in his hand or out at the stable, riding his favorite horses. Who needed sports?
When he was fifthteen or sixteen, a family from America moved a couple of their horses to the stable Edward rode at. They brought with them a spirited, and green, Appaloosa that Edward was instantly drawn to. What mare, the four-year old gelding was for sale! Edward hastly saved up his euros, with Peter's help, and raised enough to buy Splash of Color; he was called Splash around the stables or Edward sometimes called him Spritzer. Shortly after buying the young horse, Edward's family recived a letter from America.
Will and Holly had a son, Elliott, who was just two months younger than Edward. Elliott too had his own horse and rode, and he was going to attend a bording school in Virgina. Will and Holly were asking if Edward wanted to join him, and after much thought, the family agreed to send Edward, and Splash of course, over. Edward was okay with this, it wasn't like he had many friends, he knew how to speak English fluently, he would get to met family and most of all, Splash could come! Edward was even excited, so after his seventeenth birthday during the summer, Edward and Splash headed off to Maple Ridge Riding Academy.
