apperance:
-- cheyenne's mother always told her she had her father's hair, which isn't hard to believe. lindsey had beautiful hair, long and flowing, that looked almost exactly like her sister's, audrey. while ashley had light blonde hair that curled in gentle ringlets around her face and down her back, chey's hair is a light brown shade that hangs straight. she wears in long, nervous to have it any shorter than her shoulders after a bad haircut in her younger days which caused her a great deal of embarssment. besides, the longer look suits her. chey doesn't take much time to style her locks, instead giving it a plain, yet pretty, look. she has long layers, slightly noticable but not too much contrast, and she has long bangs that are a bit too short to pull up or put behind her ear. luckily they tend to stay to the side and out of her eyes. sometimes the ends of her hair will flip slightly in or out, getting rid of any flat appearance. after getting out of the shower, chey just has to comb her hair and it will dry straight, though she has found that if she ruffles it with her hands she gets a few waves, not many however. while she defiantly has her father's hair, people claim that she looks like her mother in the face. they had the same oval and thin shape, a small, narrow nose, nice forehead, slightly pointed chin and thin lips. like her mother, chey has a pale complextion with just enough color to erase any guant or sickly looks, and the absence of freckles and other blemishs is another thing to add to her grateful list.
cheyenne has eyes that tie together her whole face; they add emotion to a pretty face. with most people you can determine their eye color quickly, once standing close enough to get a good glance. with chey you could spend hours observing her warm pools without much progress. they are odd objects, but most people seem to like them. they are a bit dark in color, with what seems to be a brownish tinge but her eyes aren't brown at all, and the pupils can be clearly seen without much difficulty. though no one would ever say they are a solid color, because they aren't. I suppose the color that closest resembles chey's eyes would be hazel; light brown and green are deffiantly visible colors in her flecked pools. mostly it just depends on the lighting and the certain emotion she happens to be feeling at that moment, those combinations plus the odd mixture of colors determine which shades you see at that time. like any person, chey's eyes are what shows the most emotion. they hold reactions and feelings to any event or conversation in the depths, swirling with her emotions. her eyes are soft, warm and melting when she is in a good mood or having fun, lighting up when she laughs. but when a bad memory or a sad event occurs, they grow soft and dark, swimming with a look that would make anyone's heart twist with pity. and finally, when angered they grow cold and hard, like amber ice-chips that shot chilling looks through you.
cheyenne is naturally slight with a height a little on the tall side. once again, her mother, who is more short and curvy, explains that chey is a bit taller like her father, who was also pretty slender. chey has always been in the healthy and average weight range for her height. she has always been a bit soft looking, not in a round way but with pale skin and a sweet face. after her mother got sick, chey seemed to follow a bit in the downward spiral of weight-loss. being an only child with a single parent but most of the stress of lindsey's sickness on her, and of course she thought she had to take care of her mother. it got a bit worse after the death; she was now basically an orphan with no contacts with her father and naturally the grief took a toll on her. cheyenne isn't underweight, but is defiantly a bit more bony, with the hips sticking out a bit more and her arm's and legs noticably thinner. she doesn't look guant or sickly at all, just thinner than she used to be.

-- the summer before the first year of college went by quickly for lindsey williams and before she knew it she was hugging her older sister, jessica - along with her young neices (caroline and amy) - goodbye. the blonde haired sisters looked so similar, despite the large age difference. lindsey stepped into the car, luggage already packed, and she looked out on the beautiful land she was leaving behind, the farm her parent's had owned before passing it on to jessica and her new family. though she was sad to leave autumn hills, the place she had lived her whole life, lindsey just wasn't into horses and riding the way the rest of her family was and was over-joyed when her acceptance into a univeristy in New York. she started the year with excitment and confidence, easily making friends with both male and female. lindsey was attending design courses at school and her furture seemed set, until a faithful meeting at a party changed everything.
lindsey met ian cooper, a handsome man who was a junior at collage, meaning he was twenty and two years older than her. they quickly became a couple, and a cute one at that, and though he was nice, lindsey made the mistake of allowing him to take her virginity. I suppose you can guess what happens next; in came the morning sickness and lindsey discovered to her horror that she was pregnant. of course she kept it to herself for a while, except from her closest friends, ashamed to tell her parents and frightened that ian would leave her. though of course she eventually told, her parents were shocked and a bit angry at first but soon settled into a comforting mode. ian surprised her by being supportive, though he did eventually leave her in fear of the pressure of being a father.
lindsey soon dropped out of school, despite protests from friends that she could still take courses even after the baby was born. even though she never finished collage, she was able to get a fair paying job (and her parent's helped quite a bit). nine months later cheyenne was brought to the world, surrounded by her grandparent's, her aunt and uncle ( jessica and andrew ), and her cousins: caroline, amy and parker ( who was just six months older than her ). at a young age it was apparent that chey would have the straight brunette hair like her father. she would also have the hazel-brown eyes like ian instead of the blue-green like her mother.
as the years passed on, ian surprised lindsey over and over again by coming to visit chey throughout her toddler and grade school years, however he stopped after his new wife gave birth to a boy. cheyenne was sad at first of her father's absence, but soon found that she was content with just her mother's company. though they lived in the middle of new york, the love of horses that skipped lindsey surfaced in her young daughter. whenever they went to visit Autumn Hills, lindsey's parents would constantly give chey riding lessons. the visits started to become less and less frequent, however lindsey did scrape up enough money for chey to attend riding lessons at a local stable.
cheyenne's middle school years were uneventful, two or three close friends, never any boyfriends, but she was content. then came the summer of her eight-grade year, which should be exciting with high school coming in the fall, but lindsey got sick. she had gotten cancer and recived endless douses of chemo throughout chey's freshman year. it seemed to finally go into remission before striking back with a fatal blow, killing lindsey at the beginning of summer break after freshman year. cheyenne was stricken and sad, but then came the issue of who would be her guardian. her grandparents had decided to retire early and moved from their stable to europe. her aunt and uncle, jessica and andrew, were killed in a car- accident and the whereabouts of ian was unknown.
then caroline made the offer. many people declared caroline as crazy - she was only twenty-four, just out of college, and she was already attempting to restore her parent's farm as a lesson / show stable as well as becoming her younger siblings guardian. surely it would just be easier to let cheyenne go to a foster home, or even track down ian, but caroline insisted. besides, it wasn't as though chey was a young child, and she couldn't let her cousin go off to some strangers. it was a long process, but it was finally decided that caroline would take over as chey's guardian and she would come to live at autumn hills - where she got the surprise of her own horse, a gray gelding named ace!
